McQueens Flower School were recently delighted to announce the safe reopening of its doors from 3rd August, kicking off with the world-renowned Vocational Course. As well as our in-depth learning programmers, our ever-popular half and one-day workshops are making a return. These smaller, creative classes are designed to introduce new ideas, spark inspiration and celebrate the fantastical world of flora and fauna.
Terrarium Workshops
Delve into the fascinating world of miniature microclimates on the half-day Terrarium Workshop. Get hands-on and create your own botanical gem, housed within a stylish glass vessel. Along the way, you'll learn more about these self-contained ecosystems, the perfect plants to use, and how to look after them. The perfect addition to your home or handmade gift.
Ikebana Masterclass
McQueens Flowers have long been admirers of the Japanese art of flower arranging - Ikebana. Many of our talented florists have specialisms and we’re delighted to introduce Mariusz, a long time McQueen's colleague and qualified Ikebana aficionado who will lead the class and share his breadth of knowledge. On this one day workshop discover the philosophy of this centuries-old craft, the vessels used, and design techniques.
Installation Day
A truly exclusive McQueens Flower School class. Large-scale floral installation modules have traditionally been reserved for the final week of our world-renowned Vocational Course - but now, students have the opportunity to create a suspended installation during a one-day workshop. Led by the experts who have designed and implemented show-stopping installations for brand activations, events, and revered hotels - the workshop will be full of technical know-how. This class has been designed for students with some prior floristry knowledge.
Classic One Day Workshop
One of our most popular classes - on this one-day floristry workshop you'll explore the style and philosophy of one of the UK’s premier floral designers. Discover insider tips and advice on flower care and enjoy demonstrations by our talented tutor team. You’ll have step-by-step guidance on how to create your own signature McQueens Flowers hand-tie bouquet and conclude by designing your own unique arrangement. And the best part? You take your show-stopping flowers home with you at the end of the day.
