Bon Bon - a Celebration of Spring
As our long-standing clients, friends and followers will know, the floral aficionados at McQueens Flowers HQ design and create new and ever-more stunning online bouquet collections throughout the year - creations that celebrate the flowers of the season and, of course, an array of exciting events from Valentine's to International Women's Day, Mother's Day and more.
Today it is with great excitement that we introduce the first of a brand-new series of floral designs to our repertoire from our incredibly talented and creative London Events Team. Led by nature these designs will form part of a year-round collection of wedding and events inspiration designed to delight, inspire, and most importantly celebrate the latest influx of new and fascinating varieties available to us here in the UK.
Created in our London studio these floral masterpieces showcase the creativity, talent, and first-hand floral recommendations from our experienced and knowledgeable florists - who are passionately driven to create floral designs that aren't just stunningly beautiful, but in-tune with the seasons too. In line with the McQueens Flowers ethos to continually strive towards ever more eco-friendly approaches to floristry, each collection is made with flowers and foliage that are in peak season and locally grown wherever possible.
Today it's our pleasure to introduce our first collection, affectionately named Bon Bon – designed and made completely flower foam free by Lead Creative, Alison Lythgoe. An expert of her craft and the creative genius behind many of the most spectacular events installations made at McQueens during her time here.
Featuring a bright and cheerful palette inspired by the colour and joy of the upcoming spring, Bon Bon is the perfect combination for weddings and events that call for something playful, punchy, and (of course) brimming with the most beautiful stems of the season.
From a jaw-dropping urn to delicate floral bottles and table centrepieces, each design is filled with a bright and poppy combination of late-winter to early-spring floral gems, including other-worldly Icelandic Poppies, ruffled Hanoi Ranunculi, inky-cantered Anemones, long-stemmed French Tulips, Acacia foliage, scented Narcissi, delicate Muscari and trailing Jasmine.
Naturally, floral design doesn't just stop at just the flowers, each vessel from dainty ribbed bottles to hand-made ceramic footed bowls and glass candle holders have been carefully selected for each design from the McQueens Events props store - a vast collection of floral hardware in a range of finishes to suit every occasion and venue - from grand celebrations held in art deco ballrooms to boho weddings in rustic East London hot spots, fairy-tail escapes in the Cotswolds, and more.
In season from late winter through to spring, Bon Bon is a true celebration of some of our all-time favourite stems in a colour palette that can only be described as pure joie de vivre!
